What is crate hire?

Crate hire is an RTP (reusable transit packaging) solution for moving home and offices. Renting crates or plastic moving boxes has been the preferred solution in the commercial relocation industry for many years. Crates are made for moving, no need to build the boxes before you start filling them, and the crate lids are made to stack, so they are more secure during transit.

How does crate hire work?

You decide on the crates you require and how long you need them. We deliver the crates to you on the date booked, you carry out your move or storage project, and then we collect the crates from you once you are done with them. Simple. If you don’t want to incur transport fees, then you are also able to collect and return them yourself to our depots.

Can I have crates delivered and collected from different addresses?

Yes absolutely! this is very common in commercial relocation, and the crates are delivered to an office, a removal company then move the offices to a new address, and then we collect the empty boxes from the new address, once the move is complete. This is the same for home moves.

How much is delivery?

We decided we needed a new way to charge delivery, so the more products you add to the basket, the cheaper delivery is, and yes you can even get FREE delivery! Each postcode in the UK has a different delivery charge, so it’s best to check the prices on our crate hire page. But we do offer delivery from free, so just add the items you need and see the price drop 🙂
